What is your process for developing a PC game from idea to final release?
We follow five clear phases: discovery, pre-production, production, QA, and release. Each phase has set deliverables and a review point before moving forward. Nothing moves to the next stage without your sign-off.
Discovery covers scope, genre, platform targets, and engine choice between Unity and Unreal Engine. Pre-production produces the game design document, concept art, and a playable prototype so you can see the direction before full build starts. Production is where mechanics, levels, art, audio, and any backend systems get built. QA runs alongside late production and continues until launch, covering performance, bugs, and hardware compatibility across different PC setups.
At NipsApp, you get regular builds to review throughout production. After release we handle patches and updates based on player feedback and your priorities.
