Sixteen years
of shipping "just" games.
We started in 2010 with two people, one 2D engine, and a side-scrolling jungle runner. Today we build VR training simulators for hospitals, AR worlds for theme parks, and blockchain economies for studios across 30+ countries, and the ride from Trivandrum to Abu Dhabi to Universal Studios is a story we're proud to keep telling.

Origin Story 2010 to 2011
Two people. One jungle runner. A million downloads.
In 2010, NipsApp was a single name on a single laptop in Trivandrum, Kerala. Founder Nipin P N wanted to ship games, not someday, but immediately, at a time when "Indian indie game studio" wasn't really a sentence anyone said out loud yet.
A year later, in 2011, NipsApp shipped its first international title: Mowgly Run, a 2D side-scrolling runner built in Cocos2D. The team was two people: Nipin on code, and designer Akshay Pawar on art and animation. The game launched on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, and went on to cross 1 million downloads. In 2011, that was a very big deal for a two-person studio out of South India.
What followed is the part that quietly built the company. Mowgly Run got reskinned, not once, not ten times, but hundreds of times for clients all over the world who wanted their own runner with their own characters and their own brand. That long tail of reskins is what bought the studio its second computer, then its first office, then its first employees, and finally the runway to start making bigger, original things.
The studio kept the people, changed the letterhead.
NipsApp is born, Trivandrum, Kerala
Founded as simply NipsApp. No "Studios". No "Pvt Ltd". Just a name, a founder, and an intent to ship games to a global audience from Kerala, at a time when most of India's tech industry was focused on services, not products.
Sole Proprietor · Self-fundedMowgly Run ships, and crosses 1M downloads
The first NipsApp game, built in Cocos2D by a team of two, launches simultaneously on Google Play and the App Store. It crosses a million downloads, and almost overnight, becomes a reskinnable platform that hundreds of small publishers will license, brand, and ship as their own.
Genesis Title · 1M+ DownloadsThe reskin years, building muscle
Hundreds of Mowgly Run reskins. Mobile-only. 2D-only. Cocos2D-only. It wasn't glamorous, but it was the school. Every reskin was a deadline, a client briefing, a build pipeline, and a store submission, practiced again, and again, and again. That muscle memory still runs the production floor today.
Reskins · Mobile · iOS + AndroidIncorporated as NipsApp Gaming Software Pvt Ltd
The studio formalises. NipsApp becomes NipsApp Gaming Software Private Limited, a registered Indian private limited company. Bigger team, bigger projects, bigger engines. Unity3D enters the building. Then Unreal. Then Cocos2D-X for cross-platform titles.
Pvt Ltd · Multi-engine · Multi-platformGoing full-stack: PC, console, casual, casino, real-money
The portfolio diversifies hard. Unity3D mobile titles ship globally. Unreal projects push into PC and console. Real-money gaming, casino, kids' games, hyper-casual. The studio becomes a true full-cycle game development partner, not just a mobile shop.
Unity3D · Unreal · Cocos2D-X · PC + ConsoleVR healthcare training, and global recognition
NipsApp ships its first VR healthcare training simulators, including anatomy and surgical-prep modules. The work gets picked up by global media, and "VR studio" quietly becomes the second sentence on the company's pitch deck.

The brand evolves one final time to NipsApp Game Studios, reflecting what the company actually does now: a full-cycle game and immersive-tech studio shipping for Universal, THQ Nordic / HandyGames, ReliaQuest, Pocketpills, Red Sea Film Foundation, and dozens of others. The legal entity is still NipsApp Gaming Software Pvt Ltd. The flag on the building is NipsApp Game Studios.
